Talking Therapy With Mark

Therapy & approach

Therapy, at your pace.

Therapy offers a space to explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply and consider new possibilities.

There is no expectation that you need to know exactly what you want to explore before we begin.

What is psychosynthesis?

Seeing the whole person.

Psychosynthesis was developed by the Italian psychiatrist Roberto Assagioli. It is a humanistic and integrative approach that recognises the whole person — your experiences, relationships and difficulties, as well as your strengths, values and potential.

Drawing on different psychological traditions, it can help us explore emotional patterns, inner conflicts, identity, meaning and personal growth.

“One part of you may want change, while another feels frightened or uncertain.”

Exploring these different aspects of ourselves with curiosity and compassion may create greater understanding, and with it, greater choice.

Where appropriate, and always by agreement, our work may sometimes include guided imagery, visualisation, journalling, reflection or exploring dreams.

Length of therapy

Shorter or longer term.

Shorter-term counselling

Typically around 12–24 sessions, focused on particular concerns, difficulties or goals.

Longer-term psychotherapy

A deeper exploration of emotional experiences, recurring patterns, relationships, identity, meaning and purpose.

The length of our work is flexible, and something we discuss and decide together.

What to expect

Our sessions are collaborative, respectful, honest and non-judgemental. You don’t need the “right” words or a clear starting point — we can begin exactly where you are, and find our way together.

Who I work with

I work with adults from many different backgrounds, identities and life experiences. My practice is inclusive and LGBTQ+ affirming — you are welcome to bring all of who you are, described in your own words.

In person & online

In-person sessions take place in London Bridge, Waterloo and Clapham, subject to room availability. Sessions are also available by secure video call, wherever you are.
