Questions
Frequently asked.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
There is no single right reason to begin. Some people come with something specific; others simply sense that something needs to change. The free introductory conversation is a chance to explore whether therapy, and working together, feels right for you.
What happens during the free introductory conversation?
It is a free, 20-minute conversation online. We can talk briefly about what brings you to therapy, you can ask any questions, and we can see whether working together feels like a good fit. There is no obligation to continue.
What should I expect in my first session?
The first session is an initial assessment. It gives us space to explore your experiences, your hopes for therapy and how we might work together.
How long is each session?
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
How often will we meet?
We usually meet weekly, in person or online, at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Shorter-term counselling is typically around 12–24 sessions, focused on particular concerns. Longer-term psychotherapy offers deeper, more open-ended exploration. The length of our work is flexible and something we decide together.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. Sessions are available by secure video call.
Where are in-person sessions held?
In-person sessions take place in London Bridge, Waterloo and Clapham, subject to room availability.
What is psychosynthesis counselling?
Psychosynthesis is a humanistic and integrative approach developed by Roberto Assagioli. It recognises the whole person — your experiences, relationships and difficulties, as well as your strengths, values and potential for growth.
What if I don’t know what to talk about?
That is completely fine. You don’t need the “right” words or a clear starting point. We can begin exactly where you are.
What is your cancellation policy?
At least 48 hours’ notice is requested for cancellations or rearrangements; otherwise the full session fee is payable. Exceptional circumstances will be considered with care and understanding.
How do I arrange an appointment?
You can get in touch using the contact form or by telephone on 07471 765620 to arrange a free introductory conversation.
